When a migraine takes over, the last place you want to be is a bright waiting room. The Migraine Kicker brings fluids, max-dose magnesium, taurine, and medications for pain and nausea to your darkened bedroom anywhere in Greater Houston and surrounding areas, from experienced medical professionals.

What is in it

  • Saline or Lactated Ringers. A liter of fluids, because dehydration is a common migraine trigger and makes the pain worse.
  • Magnesium, max dose. A mineral studied for decades in migraine care.
  • Taurine. An amino acid involved in calming overexcited nerve cells.
  • Zofran (ondansetron). Prescription anti-nausea medication, the same one used in emergency rooms.
  • Toradol (ketorolac). A prescription anti-inflammatory for serious pain relief, without opioids.
  • Benadryl (diphenhydramine). Often paired with migraine medications to ease the attack and help you rest.

Zofran, Toradol, and Benadryl are prescription medications, administered by our experienced medical professionals under physician medical direction after a review of your health history.

Who it is for, and when to book it

Book it when a migraine has broken through your usual routine: the pounding ache, the nausea that makes water risky, the light sensitivity that turns your phone into a weapon. Clients call us mid-attack, and also the morning after, when the migraine hangover leaves them drained and dehydrated.

When to go to the ER instead: A sudden, worst-headache-of-your-life onset; a headache with fever and a stiff neck; weakness, numbness, slurred speech, confusion, or vision loss; or a headache after a head injury. Those need an emergency room right away, not a house call.

How it works in the body

Migraine attacks often shut down your stomach, which is why pills come back up or sit there unabsorbed. An IV skips the gut completely: fluids restore volume, magnesium reaches your bloodstream at full dose, and Toradol and Zofran start working much faster than a tablet. Many clients feel the edge come off before the IV is half done. Your provider stays the whole time, lights low, voice down.

Questions about The Migraine Kicker

How fast can you get to me during a migraine?

We offer same-day appointments, daily 8 AM to 8 PM. Finding an available provider often takes from 5 to 10 minutes on average, and we will give you a straight answer on timing before you commit.

Will this cure my migraines?

No, and we will not pretend it will. Migraine is a neurological condition that deserves a physician's ongoing care. This IV is designed to help you through an attack, at home instead of in a waiting room.

Can I get it if I take a daily migraine medication?

Often, yes, but your provider will review every medication you take before anything is given, and physician medical direction governs what can safely be combined. Have your medication list handy when you book.
